But at the Samana Mara, with our tailored itineraries, specialised cuisine and amazing setup, we turn this into more than a sight for you - we make it an experience to remember for a long, long time.
Here are the three itineraries we have for you.
Option 1: Full Day Game Drive
Early Morning Wake-Up Call
Your day begins with a gentle wake-up call as the first light of dawn breaks over the savannah. Freshly brewed coffee and biscuits are delivered to your tent, giving you the perfect start to an adventure-filled day.
Morning Game Drive
At 6 am, you set out on your game drive, ready to witness the awakening of the Mara. The early morning is a magical time, with predators finishing their hunts and herbivores beginning their daily routines. Keep your camera ready to capture the incredible sights of lions, elephants, and perhaps even a cheetah on the prowl.

Picnic Breakfast in the Park
Around 8-9 am, you’ll stop for a picnic breakfast amidst the wild. Enjoy your meal surrounded by the natural beauty of the park, with the sounds of the bush providing a serene backdrop.
Midday Game Drive
Continue your exploration of the Maasai Mara, guided by expert trackers who will help you spot some of the park's most elusive residents.
Picnic Lunch in the Park
At 1 pm, another delightful picnic awaits. Relax and savor your lunch while absorbing the breathtaking vistas and observing the dynamic wildlife interactions.
Return to Camp
By 4 pm, you head back to the comfort of Samana Mara. This is a perfect time to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures.
Sundowner by the Fireplace
As the sun sets, gather around the fireplace for a sundowner. Enjoy a refreshing drink as you share stories of the day’s sightings, with the sky transforming into a canvas of vibrant colours.
Dinner
Conclude your day with a sumptuous dinner under the stars, indulging in exquisite dishes prepared by the camp's talented chefs.

Option 2: Two half-day Game Drives
Early morning wake-up call
Start your day with coffee and biscuits in the comfort of your tent, preparing for the first of two game drives.

Head out at 6am for an early morning game drive, witnessing the diverse wildlife as the day begins.

Picnic Breakfast in the Park
Enjoy a picnic breakfast at around 8-9am, set against the backdrop of the Maasai Mara's stunning landscape.

Return to camp for Lunch
Return to camp at around 1pm for a delectable lunch. This break allows you to relax and recharge before the afternoon's activities.
Afternoon Rest
Take a leisurely siesta or explore the camp's amenities until 4pm.

Evening Game Drive
Set out for an evening game drive at 4pm, capturing the golden hour light and lively evening routines of the animals.
Sundowner by the Fireplace
Upon your return at 6pm, unwind with a sundowner by the fireplace, enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the camp.

Dinner
End your day with a delicious dinner, sharing tales of your safari adventures.

Choose to rest or partake in optional activities such as a cultural visit to the Maasai Manyatta (settlement), a guided nature walk, or engaging activities for kids like bow and arrow shooting or a kids nature walk.
